Job Advert: Experienced Plumber / Kitchen & Bathroom Fitter – Penryn, Cornwall

Are you an experienced Plumber / Fitter looking to work for a reputable, local, family business? We are excited to be working with our client in recruiting an experienced Plumber / Fitter to join their team. Our client is a well-established kitchen and bathroom fitting business based in Penryn, renowned for delivering high-quality services and benefiting from a high volume of repeat business.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing top-notch service to clients across the South West, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards. A company van and tools will be provided for travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Plumbing: Installation and maintenance of all types of plumbing systems.
  • Bathroom & Shower Fitting: Full installation, including plumbing, tiling, and finishing.
  • Kitchen Fitting: Installing cabinets, countertops, and appliances.
  • Plastering: Preparing surfaces for tiling and painting.
  • Painting: Interior painting as part of renovation projects.
  • Electrics: Basic electrical work in kitchen and bathroom settings.
  • Carpentry: Installation of cabinets, skirting boards, and other fixtures.
  • Tiling: Wall and floor tiling to a high standard.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary: £31,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Self-employed work will also be considered.
  • Hours: Full-time preferred, part-time considered. Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30 with a 30-minute lunch break. Some weekend work may be required.
  • Perks: After initial probation we will consider providing Company van and tools.

Ideal Candidate:

While personality and cultural fit are important to our client, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Plumbing Experience: Essential, with a solid track record in both residential and commercial settings.
  • Handyman Skills: Capable of turning your hand to various tasks, from carpentry to electrics.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage and complete full projects independently.
  • Qualifications: Plumbing or trade qualifications are advantageous but not essential if substantial relevant experience can be demonstrated.
  • Driving License: Full, clean driving license is required.
