We’re looking for hardworking and enthusiastic Kitchen Porters to join our kitchen teams and help us maintain a clean, safe and efficient kitchen environment.

All-year-round employment | Fantastic employee benefits

What will you be doing?

As a Kitchen Porter, you'll play an important role in supporting our kitchen team. You'll help keep the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly, ensuring our chefs and wider kitchen team have everything they need to deliver great food for our guests.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Washing, cleaning, sorting and safely storing kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery and cooking implements.
  • Cleaning kitchen equipment, walls, floors, fixtures, fittings and other kitchen areas to a high standard.
  • Following the cleaning rota and completing cleaning duties as directed by the Kitchen Management team.
  • Keeping kitchen areas clean, tidy and organised throughout your shift.
  • Supporting the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks when required.
  • Ensuring waste is disposed of correctly and kitchen areas are maintained in a safe and hygienic condition.
  • Making sure clean equipment and utensils are available to the kitchen team when required.
  • Following company COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures at all times.
  • Working as part of a friendly and supportive kitchen team to help maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

What are we looking for?

Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is helpful but isn't essential. We're looking for people who are reliable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in and support the wider kitchen team.

We're looking for people who are:

  • Reliable, hardworking and committed to doing a great job.
  • Able to work efficiently and follow instructions.
  • Comfortable carrying out physical cleaning duties in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Organised and able to keep on top of cleaning and washing-up duties.
  • Positive and willing to support other members of the kitchen team.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Willing to follow Food Safety, COSHH and Health & Safety procedures.

Why join Daish’s?

At Daish’s, we believe that our people are just as important as our guests. That's why we offer more than just a job.

When you join us, you'll benefit from:

  • Stable, all-year-round employment – we don't close for the winter.
  • Career progression opportunities across our hotels and wider business.
  • £100 refer-a-friend bonus, shared between you and your friend.
  • An extra paid day off for your birthday.
  • Access to mental wellbeing and financial support to help you when you need it.
  • A friendly, inclusive and supportive working environment.
  • Staff, Friends & Family Holiday Discount – enjoy a Daish’s holiday from just £105 for you, your family and friends, including accommodation, breakfast, dinner, coach travel and entertainment.

The role includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays, so flexibility is important
