Kitchen porter / Kitchen Assistant

Bassmead Manor wedding and events venue PE19 5JB

£ 28,000 - £29,750 per annum plus hourly overtime

Start date – September 2026

Artemis are looking for a kitchen porter/kitchen assistant to join our kitchen team at our Bassmead Manor venue in Cambridgeshire.

The successful candidate will need to be self-motivation, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

The must haves-

  • 1 years’ experience in a similar position preferred but not essential. Full training provided.
  • A proven track record, with good references to support your CV.
  • Strong Communication skills. Hygiene awareness and basic knowledge of food safety and COSHH.
  • Own transport is essential due to the location. Please note this position DOES NOT offer live in.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work full-time in the UK

What will my responsibilities include?

  • Keeping a clean, tidy working environment, dishwashing, kitchen sanitation and waste management.
  • Assisting chefs in basic food preparation.
  • Day to day reporting to the Head chef/Sous chef.
