Overview

As we go into the summer with a brand new menu
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced Chef to join our current kitchen team at the Needless Inn. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained across all service areas. Candidates with previous restaurant experience, supervisory skills, and a commitment to excellence are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency and consistency in presentation and taste
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste
  • Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Develop new recipes and menu items in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences
  • Ensure the kitchen operates smoothly during service hours, maintaining organisation and cleanliness at all times

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Supervising experience is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling and hygiene
  • Excellent cooking skills across diverse cuisines and food styles
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with team management experience
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Passion for culinary arts and continuous professional development in the hospitality industry
