Full job description

Coffee Barker is our daytime coffee shop in Cardiff’s Castle Arcade, serving brunch, coffee and busy café services with a friendly, constant buzz. We’re hiring a Chef who can bring consistency, good energy and pride in the small details that make a kitchen run properly.

This is a hands-on role across prep, cooking the café menu and keeping the kitchen clean, organised and service-ready throughout the day.

Location: 1-13 Castle Arcade, Cardiff, CF10 1BU

Pay: £13.11 per hour

Hours: Full-time and part-time available

Experience: Kitchen experience required

What you’ll be doing

  • Preparing and cooking the café and brunch menu to Coffee Barker standards
  • Running the kitchen smoothly and keeping food going out consistently through busy services
  • Managing prep, portioning and presentation to spec
  • Taking deliveries, rotating stock and keeping waste down
  • Maintaining hygiene, food-safety and health-and-safety standards
  • Supporting the wider team when service gets busy
