Bar & Catering Assistant
Weston-super-Mare Golf Club
Variable Hours Contract – Minimum 20 Hours Per Week
Starting from £10.85 per hour (depending on age & experience)

Weston-super-Mare Golf Club is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Bar & Catering Assistant to join our friendly team.

This is a flexible role on a variable hours contract, with a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week. The position involves working across both our bar and catering operations, helping us deliver excellent service to our members, guests, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serving drinks and providing excellent customer service at the bar
  • Assisting with food preparation and service in the kitchen
  • Cellar management, including stock rotation and line cleaning
  • Cash handling and till operation
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Supporting club events and functions when required
  • Working as part of a team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in both bar and kitchen roles
  • Knowledge of cellar management and previous cash handling experience desirable
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • A friendly, professional, and positive attitude
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event shifts
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
