About us

Vu Agency (vu.co.uk) builds AI platforms for businesses. We've shipped products for recruitment firms, engineering companies, financial advisers and construction businesses, and we build our own products too, including Raq.com and 102.ai. Small team, no layers, you'd work directly with the CEO.

The job

We win our best work by picking specific companies and going after them properly. That's this role.

You'll own a target list of named accounts. You'll research them, find the right people, get them on the phone, and run the deal through to close. Deals are typically £10k to £100k+ projects, often turning into long-term work.

Day to day:

  • Build and work a target account list with us
  • Cold call. This is most of the job early on. If you'd rather hide behind email sequences, this isn't for you
  • Get meetings with directors and owners of established UK businesses
  • Run discovery calls alongside our CEO, who handles proposals and technical scoping with you
  • Follow up relentlessly without being annoying
  • Keep the pipeline honest in our CRM

Who we're looking for

  • You've sold something with a real price tag before. Agency services, software, capital equipment, recruitment, doesn't matter, but you've closed deals worth tens of thousands
  • You actually like cold calling
  • You can hold a conversation with an MD about their business without a script
  • You're competitive. You want the big logo, not the easy win
  • You write clearly. A lot of this job is short, sharp follow-up

You don't need to know anything about AI. We'll teach you what our stuff does and you'll sit in on technical calls until you can talk about it confidently.
