Roles of this type could involve delivering quality assurance and validation work that helps businesses maintain the integrity and performance of their software solutions.Positions may sit within diverse teams across technology, engineering, life sciences and financial services, with scope to contribute to projects ranging from early-stage development through to production support. The work could involve collaborating with developers, product teams and stakeholders to identify, document and resolve quality issues before software reaches end users.What you would doTypical responsibilities could include:
  • Executing test plans and test cases across manual and automated testing scenarios
  • Identifying, documenting and reporting software defects with clear reproduction steps and severity assessment
  • Collaborating with development teams to verify bug fixes and validate resolutions
  • Contributing to the design and execution of regression testing cycles
  • Supporting the establishment and maintenance of test documentation and quality standards
  • Participating in requirements review sessions to understand scope and quality acceptance criteria
  • Assisting with the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts where applicable
What you could bringMost roles of this type require the following:
  • Proven experience in software testing, quality assurance or related validation roles
  • Working knowledge of test management tools and defect tracking systems
  • Understanding of testing methodologies including manual testing, test case design and regression testing
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings clearly
  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Reliable communication skills and a structured approach to problem-solving
