Full job description

Mirius Global Hygiene Solutions has been a leader in the manufacturing and supply of cleaning liquids, powders and tablets to suit all professional, retail and healthcare cleaning and hygiene requirements.

Mirius have a current vacancy for someone looking for their next opportunity to join our business as a Laboratory Technician with a focus on quality control. This role is permanent and working on our Night Shift, our Night Shift operates from 10.30pm - 7.00am Sunday through to Friday morning.

Overview of role:

  • To perform accurate QC laboratory tests (in line with test procedure) on production samples
  • To sample incoming raw materials, to label and document.
  • To maintain all data necessary for the QC systems. This includes filing of process sheets, work orders, retained samples and calibration records
  • QC Line Inspections
  • Housekeeping and laboratory equipment maintenance
  • To maintain full, detailed and accurate records of all work and analysis conducted
  • Calibration and maintenance of key laboratory instruments
  • To receive, log and store supplier samples of raw materials
  • Preparation of new liquid formulation launch packs
  • Ad-hoc duties as required

The successful candidate will:

  • Be keen with a willingness to learn new skills
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess a good basic level of numeracy and literacy
  • Be a strong team player
  • Have the ability and willingness to solve problems through to completion
  • Proficient in the use Microsoft Excel Have excellent time management whilst delivering work in a timely and accurate manner Be able to plan and prioritise daily workloads
  • Previous laboratory experience would be an advantage but is not essential as full support and training will be given
