Science Technician

Bradford
Full-time | Immediate Start or September 2026

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and organised Science Technician to join a secondary school in the Bradford area. This is a full-time role starting immediately or from September 2026.

You will support the Science department by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring practical lessons run efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up equipment for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons
  • Clear and store materials safely after practical sessions
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and prep rooms
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Monitor stock levels and order supplies where required
  • Support teaching staff with practical demonstrations when needed

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Science Technician or in a lab environment (desirable)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Interest or background in science
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures (training provided if needed)
