Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Test Technician to join our team. To test customer RMA/field returned units. Use advanced automatic and manual test systems to confirm and diagnose field reported faults.

What does the job entail:

  • Accurately record repair details, to achieve goals for cycle time reduction, test and process improvement and reduction of no fault founds.
  • Testing to relevant procedures and specification using the customer and inhouse field configuration
  • Identify and replace the necessary PCB/module to repair the product
  • Reconfigure hardware to manually test products as necessary
  • Disassemble/reassemble/clean & prepare customer field returns.
  • Re-configure hardware to manually test products
  • Prompt identification of problems regarding process, quality and performance.
  • Provide constructive feedback to Engineering and Management on technical and quality issues.
  • Provide cross training and support to other technical and operator staff.
  • Visually inspect all types of product in accordance with defined inspection criteria, for defects and ensure that all inspection findings are recorded.
  • Ability to implement changes in testing processes as required.

Responsibilities

  • Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and practices.
  • Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret technical data accurately.
  • Proficiency in operating various testing instruments and equipment.
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Prior experience in a technical or manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
