Full job description

A vacancy exists for an Engineering Test & Measurement Technician, duties include:

  • Construct and record tests and experiments in a pre-planned, thorough manner.
  • Construct test & measurement set-ups with safety and effectiveness as prime objectives.
  • Produce complete reports which communicate, effectively, precisely and concisely using Microsoft Excel & Word.
  • Provide technical support and advice to other departments and external customers.
  • Provide production support for new and existing products as and when requested to do so.

Skills and experience ideally required:

  • A background / education in Mechanical or electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
  • Report writing to a good standard in word and excel
  • Experience with metrology / measurement equipment
  • Experience of a test work environment equipment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work under own initiative
  • Determined approach, a will to succeed
