Hours: 40 Hours per week

Are you a skilled and reliable Painter & Decorator looking for long-term, stable work? CHFM is expanding its operations across the North East and is seeking experienced painters to support a secured programme of planned works.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, forward-thinking contractor delivering high-quality works within the social housing sector. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their finish, work efficiently, and understand the standards expected within planned maintenance environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out internal and external painting and decorating works across residential properties.
  • Complete full property refreshes including preparation, filling, sanding, and finishing.
  • Apply a range of coatings including emulsion, gloss, satin, and specialist finishes.
  • Ensure all surfaces are properly prepared to achieve a high-quality, durable finish.
  • Work within planned programmes, meeting productivity and quality targets.
  • Liaise with tenants and colleagues professionally while working in occupied properties.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment in line with health and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator, ideally within social housing or planned works.
  • Strong preparation and finishing skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently.
  • Good understanding of materials, products, and application techniques.
  • Experience working in occupied properties (desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary with long-term, secure work
  • Company vehicle, fuel card, uniform, and PPE provided
  • Ongoing pipeline of planned works (no reliance on reactive jobs)
  • Opportunities for progression within a growing business
  • Supportive and professional working environment

This role offers consistent, long-term work within a structured planned programme ideal for operatives looking for stability and continuity rather than short-term or reactive contracts.

If you’re an experienced Painter & Decorator ready to take the next step, we’d like to hear from you. Please apply with your CV.
