Trainee General Builder’s Labourer: Learn the Trade (No Experience Needed)
Built Trust Ltd | Stevenage & Hertfordshire | Full-time | £[XX]–£110 per day, depending on experience

About us
Built Trust is a small, tight-knit team building residential extensions across Hertfordshire. We’re not a big firm where you’re just a number. You’ll work alongside the owner every day, and we always treat our team with politeness and respect.

What you’ll be doing
We do most of the build ourselves, so no two weeks are the same. You’ll be helping with:

  • Groundwork and underground drainage
  • Brickwork and blockwork
  • Timber-frame walls and roof structures
  • Carpentry
  • Site clearance, deliveries, and keeping the site safe and tidy

If you want to learn how a building actually goes together, from the ground up, there are few better places to start.

Who we’re looking for
Experience isn’t essential. Character is. This could be your first job in construction, provided you are:

  • Reliable and on time, every time
  • Keen to learn, and asks questions
  • Hard-working and takes pride in doing a job properly
  • Respectful, honest and easy to work with
  • Physically fit and happy working outdoors in all weathers

Let’s be honest
This job is tough. It’s physical, the days start early, and you’ll be pushed every day. If you’re looking for an easy ride, this isn’t the place for you, and it will become obvious very quickly. Time-wasters won’t last.

But if you’re willing to put the effort in, it’s incredibly rewarding. You’ll go home knowing you’ve built something real, and every month you’ll be better at it than the month before.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm
Required; Full UK driving licence and own a car.
