We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced sous chef to join our team here at The Lakeside. Being a café with over 100 covers we are looking for someone who loves to work in a kitchen which certainly has a ‘buzz’ feeling about it.

This is a very much a hands-on role in a thriving and fast paced environment so the ability to, at times, work under pressure is a must.

We are looking for somebody who has a real passion for food and cooking, a keen eye for detail in both preparation and presentation.

Working along side our chefs with the day to day running of the kitchen, creating new menus and become a strong member of our Lakeside team.

Candidates must:

• About The Lakeside:

The Lakeside Café is an independent, thriving family run business established over 20 years ago, a local hub here in Roundhay Park looking out over the beautiful Waterloo lake. We would love for an enthusiastic individual to come and add their knowledge and skills.

The role is full time and permanent, working a minimum of 45 hours a week varying from 8am until 6pm Monday - Sunday with the very occasional evening shift. There is also the option to be on a 36 hour a week contract and work 4 days a week.

Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 (full time)

Experience: Minimum of at least 3 years as a chef.
