Job description

- Basic knowledge of the landscape industry.

- Follow directions and instructions from the Senior landscape Team.

- Use initiative when necessary and seek advice when appropriate.

- Use equipment safely and correctly.

- You will be given a uniform to wear whilst on-site, this must be worn at all times and must be kept clean and well presented at the start of the working day.

- You must have your own transportation to and from work sites and your driving licence must be clear of any unlawful activity and any such activity that happens after employment must be declared to the company immediately after the event.

- High standards must be maintained.

- You must ensure you are polite when communicating with clients and any client requests should be referred to the landscaping senior team on-site.

- Whilst working with us, you are an ambassador of the company and must represent the company in a positive way; smoking/ swearing / rudeness / lateness on site will not be tolerated and could lead to disciplinary action.

- You must keep yourself fit to enable yourself to confidently carryout the sometimes quite physically challenging tasks.

- You will need to carry out basic equipment checks on a daily basis to ensure they are fit to be used and flag up any issues to the Landscape leadership team.

- You may be required to do general maintenance in the company offices in quiet periods or inclement weather e.g. van maintenance & tool maintenance. Practical skills, common sense, awareness of health and safety are key and experience would be beneficial.

- Those with prior labouring experience would be a preferential candidate such as experience using a cement mixer, ground working tools & related machinery.

- Your working day could include the following; Digging areas by hand, loading skips, moving soil and aggregates with a wheelbarrow, using machinery such as a Cement mixer, Dumper, Compaction plate, laying paving slabs, laying decking, using the company vehicles to collect items from builders merchants, clearance including rubble & Plant materials.

Pay: £25,500.00 per year
