Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Soft Landscape Team Leader. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in garden design, landscaping, horticulture and landscape maintenance, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role will be predominantly installing soft landscape features from our designs and aftercare of our completed projects. However, some hard landscaping features such as ponds, pergolas, sheds etc may also be installed.

This newly created position is an opportunity to grow with the business and become the team leader/head of soft landscaping services, working closely with the founder/director.

Skills and responsibilities

• Qualifications in horticulture and landscaping.
• Site preparation, clearance and setting out.
• Operate power tools and hand tools, including mini/ small excavators, dumpers, rotovator, mower, hedge, cutters, etc. Training can be given.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tools and equipment.
• Knowledgeable in soft landscaping practices and techniques for effective realisation of garden designs.
• Experience of installing; green roofs, wildflower meadow, living walls, real lawns, plants, trees, ponds, irrigation etc. Training can be given.
• Additionally experience of installing paving, decking, fencing and timber structures would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Horticultural knowledge such as identifying common plants, trees and hedging, correct planting establishment and care practices.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills. Face to face meetings with clients, designer and other parties as required.
• Experience in working from site plans and specification.
• Perform groundskeeping duties such as weeding, mulching, and pruning to enhance the appearance of outdoor spaces.
• Strong attention to detail with a passion for creating outdoor environments.
• Excellent physical stamina as the role requires significant time spent outdoors and engaging in manual labour.
• Full clean UK Driving license essential.
• Age 25 years+ for commercial vehicle insurance essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
