Brickwork Direct is a leading construction company specializing in Bricklaying and Landscaping projects, based in Stanley. They are looking for a motivated and reliable General Construction Labourers, based in North Tyneside, with a valid driver's license to join their dynamic team.

Optimum Skills will cover all training needs. For those unequipped with the proper tickets, we will host a two week fully funded program covering L1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment, the subsequent CSCS test, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling.

Interviews will take place immediately after training. Work will commence on 16/09.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Preparation: Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including the assembly and disassembly of temporary structures and barriers.
• Material Handling: Load, unload, and move construction materials around the site as needed.
• General Labour: Perform various physical tasks such as digging, demolition, mixing concrete, and other activities as directed by the site supervisor.
• Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and tools, ensuring they are used safely and maintained in good working condition.
• Transport Duties: Drive company vehicles to transport tools, materials, and crew members to and from work sites, ensuring compliance with all traffic and safety regulations.
• Clean-Up: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including removing debris and waste materials from the site.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.

Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles (including trucks if required).
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
• Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from supervisors.
• Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and committed to high standards of work.

Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of construction principles and safety standards.
• Strong communication skills.
• Full UK Driving License
