As a team Leader at Selby Landscapes you will be required to supervise and lead our dedicated build teams in Bath, UK.
You will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of high end landscaping projects, ensuring quality workmanship, and fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years proven experience in the landscaping industry, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of landscaping techniques and practices.
- Experience and competence using power tools and machinery
- Plant machinery experience and tickets
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in calculating quantities and estimating material requirements.
- Familiarity with construction scheduling and resource allocation.
- Willingness to work outdoors and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Valid driver's license.
- A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Project Supervision:
- Lead and supervise landscaping teams in the execution of various projects across Bath and the surrounding area.
- Ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
- Team Management:
- Distribute tasks and responsibilities among team members as needed.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members, fostering skill development.
- Quality Assurance:
- Monitor quality throughout the build to ensure work meets company standards and client expectations.
- Address and resolve issues or challenges that may arise during project execution.
- Client Interaction:
- Interact with clients to communicate project progress, address concerns, and ensure overall satisfaction.
- Collaborate with clients on any requested changes to the original project plan.
- Logistics and Planning:
- Coordinate and work closely with our project manager, subcontractors and suppliers as necessary.
- Work to job schedules and infill data supplied on company iPads.
- Assist the project manager in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Safety Compliance:
- Promote adherence to health and safety regulations on all job sites.
- Conduct safety briefings and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Reporting:
- Provide regular project updates and reports to upper management.
- Document and report any incidents, accidents, or near-misses promptly.
