PlaySmart are one of the UK's leading Landscaping and Playground Surfacing company specialising in High End Grounds Maintenance, Gardening, Surfacing, and Landscaping . Due to our continued growth we are looking to recruit Team Leaders and Operatives experienced in landscaping and high end grounds maintenance who have an eye for detail and are capable of working on housebuilder developments, public parks, schools, nurseries and other outdoor areas.

Outline

You do not need to have experience in laying surfacing to join our team. This role would be well suited to a high end domestic gardener who has a keen eye for detail and has a practical mind. You must be willing to travel nationwide when required which will include fully expensed stop overs.

Reporting to our Contracts Manager, your duties will include working on site, location will be dependent on where the job is located. Depending on business needs, you may be required to work further afield and stay over during an install.

Our North office is in Stockport, you will be required to attend regular meetings and training. You will be inducted and trained by our approved team and will have access to development via our the PlaySmart Academy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completing planned Grounds Maintenance including mowing, pruning, weeding and general Landscaping Services.
  • Laying artificial surfacing including Grass Mats, Artificial Grass, Wetpour, Mulch, Resin following internal training.
  • Liaising and communicating with the customers on site/face to face.
  • Taking receipt of material deliveries, unloading and storage.
  • Daily site housekeeping; maintaining a tidy workplace and clearing waste from site.
  • Ensure Health & Safety regulations & safe working practices are always adhered to.
  • Be capable of working to the PlaySmart market leading standard to achieve the install which is right first time.
  • Represent and promote the PlaySmart brand and always maintain a professional image.

Must haves:

  • Full UK Driving License
  • CSCS card (PlaySmart can support your application)
  • DBS Certificate (PlaySmart can support your application)
  • Surfacing experience; Artificial Grass as a minimum.
  • Able to perform manual tasks in an outdoor environment in all weathers.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, including taking instruction when required and/or be a leader.
  • Self-motivated, trustworthy, good communicator, reliable and excellent time keeping.
  • Good problem solving and communication skills.
  • A flexible approach to working hours.
  • Be prepared to travel around Midlands which could include overnight stays.

Desirable Experience/Skills:

  • Previous hard and soft landscaping experience.
  • Previous high end grounds maintenance experience.
  • Previous experience of Installing Wetpour and Mulch
  • Previous experience of Installing inground play equipment
  • Operating a range of plant and equipment safely.
  • First Aid Trained.
