Landscaping jobs in Dalgety Bay

Based near South Queensferry and require an experienced landscape gardener to join our teams; providing grounds maintenance on sites/developments across the central belt.

Please note use of your own transport to and from our base is required as a van will not be provided.

Essential Criteria are -

• Clean full driving licence held for minimum 2 years.
• At least 1 years experience in a similar ground maintenance role with use and working knowledge of stand-on/walk behind mowers and other machinery.
• Enthusiasm for work and for being part of a team; working together to timescales and with top level of maintenance.
• Good communication skills and record keeping. Friendly and professional manner liasing on occasion with clients.
• This can be physically demanding job and therefore requires a suitable level of fitness.
• References from previous employer(s) will be required.

Main Duties of the Post include the following

• Grass cutting using stand-on and walk behind mowers
• Strimming and grass edging
• Use of hedge cutters, and motorised/hand tools for pruning shrubs & small trees.
• Weeding.
• Preparation and safe spraying of herbicide.
• Planting
• Litter Picking and disposal.
• Driving with a trailer to and from sites.
• Awareness of Health and Safety and safe moving and handling techniques.
• Overtime is occasionally required evenings/weekends during the busy periods.
• Gritting and snow clearance in the winter months as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.50 – 41.25 per week
