Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance, with the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the creation and upkeep of beautiful, sustainable outdoor spaces, utilising a range of gardening techniques and tools.

Duties

  • Maintain and care for gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas, ensuring they are healthy and visually appealing
  • Use hand tools such as spades, pruners, and rakes to prune, plant, weed, and cultivate plants
  • Operate power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers for efficient landscape maintenance
  • Conduct regular inspections of gardens to identify pests or diseases and implement appropriate treatments
  • Maintain equipment and ensure all tools are clean and stored correctly after use
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times

Experience

  • Previous experience in gardening or horticulture is necessary
  • Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and horticultural principles is advantageous
  • Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems is preferred
  • Growing experience or background in gardening enhances suitability for this role
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision
