Talbot Landscapes Ltd is an award-winning, commercial, family-run landscaping contractor based in Derby. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, we are looking for reliable and hardworking Landscape Operatives to join our expanding team, supporting projects across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional company delivering high-quality commercial landscaping schemes nationwide.

The Role

As a Landscape Operative, you will work as part of a team delivering soft landscaping projects to a high standard. You will be expected to take pride in your work, follow instructions carefully, and contribute positively to the team on site.

Due to the nature of the role, the work is physically demanding and carried out outdoors in all weather conditions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working from drawings, specifications, and instructions provided by the Supervisor
  • Assisting with ground preparation and site set-up
  • Preparation and cultivation of soil
  • Seeding and turfing
  • Shrub, hedge, and tree planting
  • Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship
  • Providing a professional and courteous service on site

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking individuals who:

  • Have experience in landscaping (commercial experience desirable but not essential)
  • Have a basic knowledge of soft landscaping and horticulture
  • Are hardworking & reliable
  • Work well within a team environment
  • Demonstrate good problem-solving skills
  • Are punctual, dependable, and organised
  • Communicate clearly and professionally

Essential:

  • Being able to get to head office on time
  • CSCS Card
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Desirable (but not essential):

  • CPCS or NPORS
