An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Maintenance Person to join our Property Team, carrying out building and maintenance works at our Ford dealerships in Derby and Burton, along with other commercial properties in Derbyshire.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, well organised, and able to work on their own initiative. They will work well both independently and as part of a team. They must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in carrying out planned and reactive maintenance works - ideally in a customer facing environment - and have a good attitude towards health & safety, carrying out all duties in line with current legislation and company policy.

They will possess an array of skills/ experience required to carry out a variety of property maintenance tasks to a high standard. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Brickwork
  • Plastering/ Rendering
  • Joinery
  • Plumbing (domestic & commercial to basic level)
  • Painting & Decorating
  • Roofing/ Guttering
  • Drainage
  • Tiling
  • Paving
  • Groundworks (ability to operate a mini excavator is desirable)
  • Landscaping
  • Other property maintenance tasks (e.g. litter picking, cleaning, weeding, replacing lamps, etc.)
  • Administrative tasks associated with the role (purchase orders, timesheets, etc. – basic computer skills are desirable)

Successful candidates must hold a full, clean UK driving licence. IPAF and PASMA qualifications are also desirable, although training will be provided for suitable candidates.

A company van will be provided for business use and commuting, together with competitive salary and company pension after qualifying period.
