Overview

As a Ground Worker, you will support the upkeep and improvement of outdoor spaces through practical groundskeeping, landscape maintenance and gardening tasks. You will use suitable tools and equipment safely, follow instructions and work carefully around people and the surrounding environment.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out groundskeeping, gardening and landscape maintenance, including routine maintenance of outdoor areas.
  • Use hand tools and power tools appropriately, keeping equipment in good order and reporting faults.
  • Assist with irrigation tasks and operate an excavator when required and appropriate to the work.
  • Support construction activities, prepare work areas and coordinate tasks with colleagues.
  • Your impact: Well-maintained, accessible outdoor spaces help colleagues and visitors use the grounds safely and comfortably.

Requirements

Required: Practical capability with hand tools and power tools, care when maintaining outdoor areas, and the ability to follow instructions and work safely. Mechanical knowledge will help you use and look after equipment effectively. Preferred: Construction experience, including excavator use, and skills in irrigation, gardening, horticulture or landscape maintenance are advantageous for supporting a wider range of groundskeeping tasks.

Pay: £200.00-£300.00 per day
