Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic General Labourer to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be actively involved in a variety of hands-on tasks that support landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, and construction projects. Your enthusiasm and willingness to learn will help ensure the smooth operation of outdoor spaces and construction sites. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in gardening, horticulture, and equipment operation while contributing to beautiful, well-maintained environments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, mowing, and edging to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery including excavators and irrigation systems with safety and precision
  • Support groundskeeping activities by maintaining lawns, gardens, pathways, and other outdoor features
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met
  • Help with construction-related activities such as material handling, site cleanup, and basic assembly tasks
  • Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment
  • Collaborate with team members on various projects to meet deadlines and quality standards

Experience

  • Previous experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a strong work ethic above all
  • Familiarity with mechanical knowledge, hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques is advantageous
  • Experience operating machinery such as excavators or irrigation systems is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Knowledge of horticulture or gardening practices can enhance your ability to contribute effectively to outdoor projects
  • Prior work involving maintenance or general labour in construction or outdoor environments will help you succeed in this role
