Full job description
Based in Fareham, Helyers is an RHS award winning landscaping business offering services to the general public and with plans to expand our ever growing business we now require a labourer to join one of our teams.
The successful applicant must have some experience in all aspects of hard landscaping, will have an eye for attention to detail, good people skills. You will be responsible for providing manual labour support to the Team Leader. The ability to work as part of a team is essential as is self-motivation, enthusiasm and reliability. This is a physically demanding role and candidates must be prepared to work in all weather conditions.
The objectives of the job are to:
- Ensure that landscape jobs run efficiently and are completed on time
- Ensure that quality is maintained to a high standard
- Ensure that customer satisfaction is maintained to a high standard
The key tasks are: Mixing and barrowing concrete and mortar
- Loading, unloading and moving materials
- Preparation of ground using both hand and mechanical tools
- Assist in constructing and erecting fences
- To assist in building gardens to the highest of standards
- To assist in keeping the job organised.
- To use and implement Health and Safety policy as appropriate
- Ensure the experience for the client is easy, stress free and friendly throughout the project.
- To improve efficiency by reviewing procedures and implementing new methods of working
- Ensure the teams tools, vehicle and workspace is always kept clean and tidy
