Horticulture Study Programme Manager - Duchy College Rosewarne – Salary: £27,300 to £32,550 (Actual pro rata salary £16,602.30 to £19,796.40) – Hours per week: 22.5 – Weeks per year: 52 – Closing Date: 30 July 2024 – Interviews: 6 August 2024

Come and join our growing horticulture team in a beautiful part of South West England! Based at Duchy College Rosewarne, near Camborne, which has renowned, outstanding horticultural facilities and excellent industry links, we are looking for an experienced and inspirational individual to undertake programme management for Level 2 horticulture courses.

As a Lecturer in Horticulture and Landscaping, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through, delivering effective, up-to-date and stimulating learning opportunities, leading to success and progression for our learners. As well as underpinning your teaching activity with timely completion of all administration duties and professional development. You will be responsible for teaching, assessment, student recruitment, support and the monitoring of progress of students at the college. You will also engage with some of Cornwall’s famous and historic gardens, nurseries, parks departments, and landscaping businesses to support delivery and encourage employability in the sector.

Ideally you will be qualified to degree Level in a Horticulture-related subject, with Level 2 English and maths qualifications and a proven track record within the Horticulture industry. Assessor and teaching qualifications are highly desirable but we can offer training and qualifications in these areas. You need to be committed, highly organised and an effective communicator with excellent team working and people skills and a strong motivation to grow our horticultural and landscaping provision. You will also need to be competent with a variety of IT-based resources to support delivery and learning.
