We are recruiting for an experienced Civils & Groundworks Estimator

Salary:

£40k - £50k per annum (variable dependent on skills & experience)

Location:

Based at our Mill Works offices at Hazeleigh, Essex, (No remote or hybrid working).

Hours of Work:

08:00am – 05:30pm Monday – Friday

Civils & Groundworks Division:

E.J. Taylor Civils & Groundworks Division provides high quality groundwork services both to in-house projects and to private and public clients in the residential, industrial, healthcare and education sectors.

Our primary operating areas encompass Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk.

The Role:

To support the companies continued growth targets by preparation of civils and groundworks tenders for projects up to £10m in value, including:

· Comprehensive review of tender scope and information

· Undertake site visits and risk analysis

· Take-off and measurement using 2D & 3D software

· Obtain supplier & subcontractor quotations

· Review outputs and programme requirements with Contracts Managers

· Prepare costed bill of quantities using estimating software

· Prepare tender adjudication and submission documents for review by the Managing Estimator

About you:

· 5 years’ experience working as an Estimator within a civils and groundworks environment

· Comprehensive understanding of traditional groundworks activities including earthworks, foundations and substructures, construction of roads and sewers, utilities, and landscaping.

· Ability to work autonomously and to strict deadlines

· Multi-tasker who remains calm and effective under pressure

· Full driving licence
