Full job description
This is not an entry level job, you must have experience in the role. We specialise mainly in high-quality artificial grass installation services throughout Somerset and the Southwest. We’re an ambitious company with many creative and exciting projects, not to mention some high-profile customers. We’ve been around for more than 25 years and have a track record of being one of the best contractors in the area. We are a well-established, friendly and successful landscaping company. See for yourself, take a look at our reviews.
We’re a business that relies on the quality of work we provide. We work to a high standard and have excellent communication skills internally, with other contractors and most importantly, with our customers. We positively promote ourselves and create solid relationships with our customers to maintain retention and word of mouth.
We’re very excited to bring on board a talented, creative individual who’s looking to grow within the company. We’re looking for a leader and a team player, a problem solver as well as a highly skilled individual.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in landscaping, and ideally, someone who can help motivate and inspire a small but growing team.
About you:
You’ll be someone who is passionate, reliable, motivated and takes pride in your work. You’ll need to communicate to the customers and management at a high level to ensure all projects are being kept on budget and completed to an excellent standard.
You'll work with management to ensure the best possible plan is in place for projects and carried out as proposed without any unexpected changes. You’ll be able to use the company van/truck, trailer, and tools at the company’s disposal. You’ll also make sure everything including tools, van and the worksite is kept clean and tidy as well as secure.
You'll also have excellent time management skills and be able to think quickly on your feet should any curveballs go your way. When any issues occur, you’ll be the best person to organise alternative options and get the matter resolved quickly. You'll also be mindful to minimise any effects to project timelines and budgets whilst keeping the customer and management informed.
You'll also be used to developing your core skills by going on courses when needed and learning about new techniques whilst keeping up to date with trends from the industry.
