Full job description

We are looking for an experienced and hardworking Groundsman to join our team on a prestigious private estate near Haywards Heath, West Sussex.The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining the estate to an exceptionally high standard and have experience operating a range of grounds maintenance equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • General grounds and estate maintenance.
  • Lawn care using ride-on mowers and other machinery.
  • Tractor driving and operation of estate equipment.
  • Hedge cutting, strimming, pruning and planting.
  • Safe application of pesticides and herbicides.
  • Maintaining paths, driveways and landscaped areas to a high standard.
  • Assisting with seasonal projects and general estate duties.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in a grounds maintenance or estate environment.
  • PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates (essential).
  • Experience driving tractors.
  • Experience operating ride-on mowers and other grounds maintenance machinery.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
