Full job description

Grounds, Gardens & Trees Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Grounds Operative to join our growing team.

Pay: £13–£15 per hour, depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent Employment
Working Hours: Monday to Friday

You’ll be working outdoors on a variety of landscaping, fencing and grounds maintenance projects, helping maintain commercial and local authority sites to a high standard.

What you’ll do:

  • Install, repair and maintain fencing.
  • Mow, trim and edge lawns.
  • Prepare beds for planting and maintain plants, shrubs and trees.
  • Water and care for gardens and landscaped areas.
  • Construct and maintain pathways and other garden features.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Keep equipment clean and in good working order.
  • Work as part of a small team to deliver high-quality results.

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years’ fencing experience (essential).
  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping or outdoor construction.
  • A practical, hands-on approach and a strong work ethic.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work in all weather conditions.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Green CSCS card (essential).
  • Safety-critical medical (desirable).
