LANDSCAPE CONTRACTS MANAGER

£45,000–£55,000 | Full-time | Permanent | South Essex

Landscapes By Design Ltd is multi award-winning Essex landscaping company creating high-end gardens and outdoor living spaces.

As we grow, we're looking for an experienced Landscape Contracts Manager to take ownership of multiple projects from handover through to completion.

You'll understand landscaping or construction, know how to manage people and clients, and be good at keeping projects moving.

In other words – someone who gets things done.

The role

You'll be the link between our clients, office and landscaping teams, responsible for delivering multiple domestic landscaping projects across South Essex.

You'll:

  • Plan labour, materials and project programmes
  • Manage and support Team Leaders and site teams
  • Monitor progress, quality, costs and deadlines
  • Coordinate suppliers, deliveries and subcontractors
  • Carry out site visits and solve problems
  • Maintain our standards of workmanship
  • Keep clients informed throughout their project
  • Make sure the right people and materials are in the right place at the right time

You'll be as comfortable walking a site in boots as you are discussing programmes, costs and progress with a client.

Who we're looking for

You'll ideally have experience in landscaping, construction or contracts/project management, with:

  • Strong landscaping or construction knowledge
  • Project, contracts or site management experience
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
  • Experience managing teams and subcontractors
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications, and pricing
  • Confidence dealing with clients
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence

Most importantly, you take ownership. When a problem comes up, you arrive with a solution.
