Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Soft Landscapes and Maintenance Operative to join our team. This role combines both landscape maintenance and soft landscaping responsibilities, offering variety, career development, and the opportunity to work on prestigious projects across a range of sites.

The Role

As a Landscape Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces for both residential and commercial clients. You will carry out a wide range of landscape maintenance and soft landscaping activities, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards while maintaining excellent health and safety practices.

You may also be required to support and lead team members on site, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and professionally.

Key ResponsibilitiesLandscape Maintenance

  • Grass cutting, strimming, edging, and lawn care.
  • Hedge cutting and shrub maintenance.
  • Pruning, watering, weeding, and general horticultural care.
  • Pest and disease identification and control.
  • Maintaining commercial and domestic landscapes to a high standard.
  • Completing site inspections and weekly health and safety reports.

Soft Landscaping

  • Turfing, seeding, and lawn establishment.
  • Planting trees, shrubs, hedges, and seasonal bedding plants.
  • Soil preparation and ground improvement works.
  • Installing planting schemes in accordance with landscape designs.
  • Reading and interpreting landscape plans and drawings.
  • Assisting with landscape construction projects where required.

General Duties

  • Operating landscaping tools, machinery, and equipment safely.
  • Maintaining clean, safe, and organised work sites.
  • Supporting and leading team members when required.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely, professionally, and in line with company standards.
  • Providing excellent customer service on client sites.

Pay: Up to £33,000.00 per year
