Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team in the role of Landscape Maintenance Technician. This position involves a variety of tasks related to maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring they are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in horticulture and construction, demonstrating proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as mechanical knowledge relevant to landscape maintenance.

Duties

  • Conduct regular landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and weeding to ensure the upkeep of gardens and green spaces.
  • Operate excavators and other machinery safely and efficiently for various landscaping projects.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools for tasks such as planting, pruning, and constructing garden features.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Collaborate with team members to execute landscaping projects from conception through completion..
  • Assist in the construction of hardscapes such as patios, pathways, and retaining walls as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in landscape maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators.
  • Background in gardening or horticulture is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
