About us

At Beau Desert Golf Club we are a top class heathland golf course that sits firmly in the top courses within the Midlands. As such our standards require attention to detail with the ability to create high quality surfaces and a heathland environment.

We will enable an individual to progress and succeed within our company. With an experienced staff already in place, it is a great working environment for someone to thrive.

Responsibilities:

- Perform all mowing tasks around the golf course

- Change holes within the weekly rota

- Maintain high standards across the entire site

- Use of all essential tools e.g mowers on a day to day basis

- Assist in the construction and maintenance of re-development

- Irrigate playing surfaces as instructed

- Operate power tools for tasks such as hedge trimming and tree pruning

- Maintain heathland areas and create new environments around the course

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas

- Weekend work which is done on a 1in2 basis (mornings only)

Qualifications:

- NVQ Level 2 in Sportsturf management or equivalent preferred

- Spraying qualifications (PA1,PA2,PA6) preferred but not essential

- Chainsaw qualifications seen as advantageous

- Knowledge of golf and golf courses and the working environment that is needed

- Ability to work independently and follow instructions

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards

- Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks in various weather conditions

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
