Full job description

We are a well-established company specialising in the design, installation and maintenance of Showhome gardens and landscapes for a number of new-build housing developers. We are now seeking a temporary Landscape Labourer to help install and improve interesting and diverse landscapes schemes on several upcoming contracts.

Main responsibilites will include:

  • Selecting equipment and loading vans for the days work. Travelling to site in Cambs/Beds/Essex/Herts.
  • Setting out mature shrubs & trees and planting them, to create instant landscapes.
  • Laying mulch over shrub beds.
  • Cutting & lifting lawns damaged by drought and removing dead trees & plants.
  • Rotovating ground, laying topsoil, preparing & levelling ground, installing new turf or seeding.

Experience and qualifications essential for this role are;

  • Basic knowledge of health & safety on site
  • Good level of physical fitness
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments in all weathers
  • You should work effectively as part of a team, be well-presented and polite, pay particular attention to detail and strive to deliver the highest standards at all times, taking pride in your work.

A full UK driving licence and/or CSCS certification would also be an advantage.

This is initially a temporary position lasting until the end of January. However, there is a high possibility of the contract being extended or made permanent. As a full-time team member, you will work a 42.5 hour basic week, with additional overtime paid at attractive enhanced rates.

  • Enhanced overtime rate on all hours exceeding 42.5hrs per week
  • 28 days annual holiday (pro rata to duration of contract)
