TF Landscapes is a growing landscaping business delivering high-quality domestic garden projects across Sussex.

We work on a wide variety of garden transformations, from patios and paving to complete garden builds, and take real pride in the quality of our work.

With a busy pipeline of projects, we're looking for an experienced Hard Landscaper / Team Leader who can take responsibility for jobs, lead a small team and remain hands-on throughout the project.

The role

This is an opportunity for someone who knows their trade, enjoys practical work and is ready to take ownership of projects.

You'll be responsible for helping deliver landscaping projects from start to finish, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and organise a small landscaping team on site.
• Carry out hard landscaping work, including patios, paving, brickwork, retaining walls and groundworks.
• Read and work from garden plans and specifications.
• Plan daily tasks, organise materials and keep projects moving.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Support and guide other team members.
• Communicate effectively with the business owner and wider team.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.

What we're looking for

Essential:

• Proven experience in hard landscaping and garden construction.
• Strong practical skills in paving, patios, walls and groundworks.
• Confidence leading and organising a small team.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for completing jobs.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Reliable, organised and hardworking, with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Driving Licence

Desirable:

• Experience delivering complete garden builds.
• Experience working alongside garden designers.
• Knowledge of drainage, fencing and timber structures.
• Experience supporting or training less experienced team members.

You don't need to have managed a large team. We're looking for someone who can confidently lead a small crew, work alongside them and deliver excellent results.

Recruitment process

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to meet Tom, the business owner, and complete a practical trial to demonstrate their skills and approach to the work. Trial arrangements will be confirmed in advance.
