JOB DESCRIPTION

The Maintenance Group Garden & Grounds is looking for a reliable and hardworking Self Employed Garden & Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our growing team.

You’ll carry out residential garden and grounds maintenance work on behalf of the company, delivering a professional and consistently high standard of service to our customers.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Hedge cutting and trimming
  • Lawn mowing and edging
  • Strimming
  • Pruning and general garden maintenance
  • Weeding and garden clearances
  • Green waste collection and site clean-up
  • Taking before-and-after photographs
  • Interacting professionally with customers when required

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous gardening or grounds maintenance experience
  • Ability to work confidently and independently
  • Reliable, punctual and professional
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Comfortable interacting with customers
  • Ability to safely operate common garden and grounds maintenance equipment
  • Comfortable carrying out physical outdoor work in varying conditions

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Reliable independent transport and ability to travel between jobs
  • Previous gardening or grounds maintenance experience
  • Smartphone for receiving job information and submitting completion photographs
  • Willingness to wear company-provided uniform while representing The Maintenance Group on jobs

Access to your own suitable gardening and grounds maintenance equipment is highly desirable while we continue expanding our company equipment and vehicle provision.
