Grounds Maintenance Operative – Saltash, Cornwall

Our client requires Grounds Maintenance Operatives to carry out tasks such as strimming, hard and soft landscaping. Working in teams, you will be responsible for a range of activities from grass cutting, strimming, hedge pruning, flower bed maintenance, and much more

What we are looking for:

• Experience within the grounds maintenance industry (preferred)
• Capable of working safely using a range of equipment and hand tools (e.g. strimmer’s, backpack blowers, push mowers etc.)
• Must be physically fit and able to work outdoors in all-weather conditions
• Good time management skills and the ability to work in a demanding environment
• Enthusiasm, good communication skills
• Good understanding of health and safety
• Will understand and the importance of working as a team
• Reliable and conscientious with a can-do attitude
• A willingness to learn
• Ability to work on one’s own initiative

Qualifications required:

• CSCS card (must have the physical card)
• Ideally have a full, clean driving licence

Hours of work:

Monday – Friday but there will be some weekend overtime available, paid at premium rates.

All candidates for these positions will be required to attend a safety critical medical and undergo Drug and Alcohol testing

Rate of Pay

• £12.00 per hour
• These will be PAYE positions so you will benefit from Accrued Holiday Pay from day one
• Pension contributions (after a qualifying period)
• Weekly Pay
• No Umbrella payments or fees
• Only Tax and National Insurance deductions and this will be shown on your payslip
