Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscape Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to landscape maintenance and groundskeeping. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a passion for working outdoors. The Landscape Labourer will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients' outdoor spaces and sites are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing or prepared for construction.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, and trimming of lawns and gardens.
- Irrigate plants and lawns effectively to ensure healthy growth.
- Utilise hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and pruners for various landscaping tasks.
- Operate power tools safely and efficiently for tasks such as digging and building garden features.
- Use machinery such as Tractors and Green Climbers
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas by removing debris and waste materials.
- Vegetation Management, such as tree feeling and site clearance
- Assist in planting flowers, shrubs, and trees according to design specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections of gardens to identify areas needing attention or improvement.
- Enhance the environment through the installation of Habitat Fencing whilst having one eye on Bio-Diversity Net Gain (BNG) by supporting the introduction of wildflower meadows and woodland areas.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred but not essential.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to landscaping work.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance is advantageous.
- Ability to dig, build, and maintain various garden features effectively.
- Strong physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy loads and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for arboriculture & horticulture is highly desirable.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing work environments.
- Willingness to work away.
