Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Groundsperson/Gardener to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty, health, and safety of outdoor landscapes and green spaces. Your enthusiasm for horticulture and landscaping will help create inviting environments that enhance the overall aesthetic and functionality of our grounds. Duties

  • Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting to keep outdoor areas vibrant and well-kept
  • Operate power tools such as hedge trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers safely and efficiently to maintain grounds
  • Use hand tools for planting, weeding, digging, and soil preparation with precision and care
  • Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering schedules
  • Assist with construction projects related to landscaping or outdoor improvements using equipment like excavators when needed
  • Conduct regular inspections of grounds to identify areas requiring attention or repair and execute necessary maintenance tasks
  • Support seasonal planting and horticultural activities to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal

Requirements

  • Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture with a strong understanding of plant care and landscape design principles
  • Mechanical knowledge for operating and maintaining power tools, irrigation systems, and small machinery such as excavators
  • Familiarity with hand tools used in gardening and construction projects
  • Prior construction experience is advantageous for assisting with outdoor development tasks
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting is preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in executing maintenance routines effectively
