Role Overview
We are seeking a proven senior leader to take on the role of Healthcare MEP Lead, supporting the delivery of a major Healthcare programme, including a project in West Yorkshire, while playing a key role in shaping and driving the wider Alliance MEP strategy.

This is a high-profile leadership position within a complex, multi-project environment, requiring both technical excellence and strategic oversight. As Healthcare MEP Lead, you will provide direction across multiple schemes, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance in MEP delivery, while influencing programme-wide approaches to design, procurement, innovation, and standardisation.

You will work closely with senior project leadership, Alliance partners, consultants, and the supply chain to ensure successful outcomes not only at project level but across the broader Healthcare portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Lead the development and implementation of the MEP strategy across the healthcare Alliance, ensuring alignment with programme objectives
Support standardisation, repeatability, and continuous improvement across multiple healthcare schemes
Provide technical leadership and governance across all MEP activities within the programme

Project & Programme Delivery
Oversee MEP delivery on the project and provide oversight/support across other healthcare schemes
Ensure integration of MEP design and delivery strategies into overall programme and project plans
Drive consistency in approach to procurement, sequencing, commissioning, and handover

Design & Technical Assurance
Lead design coordination with consultants, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards (HTMs, HBNs) and project requirements
Champion buildability, value engineering, and technical optimisation across all stages
Provide assurance on key design decisions and risk areas

Supply Chain & Stakeholder Management
Engage and manage MEP supply chain partners at both project and programme level
Build strong relationships with Alliance partners, clients, and key stakeholders
Ensure alignment of subcontractor performance with programme-wide objectives

Programme & Risk Management
Monitor MEP performance across projects, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
Support programme controls, reporting, and governance processes
Ensure robustness in commissioning strategies and soft landings approach

Quality, Compliance & HSE
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, healthcare, and project-specific standards
Drive a culture of quality assurance, safety, and continuous improvement
Promote best practice in digital delivery, BIM, and data-driven decision making

Requirements
Essential:
Extensive experience in a Senior MEP or MEP Lead role within major construction programmes
Proven track record in delivering complex MEP packages, ideally in healthcare or similarly regulated sectors

Desirable:
Experience working within healthcare programmes (acute, hospital environments)
Detailed knowledge of HTM/HBN requirements and healthcare compliance frameworks
Degree (or equivalent) in Building Services Engineering or related discipline
Experience with BIM, digital delivery, and modern methods of construction
Experience in Alliance or collaborative contract environments

Why Join Us?
Lead MEP strategy on a flagship national healthcare programme
Influence delivery across multiple high-value, complex projects
Be part of a collaborative Alliance driving innovation and best practice
Excellent career progression within a leading contractor
Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package
