Exciting Opportunity!

This is an exciting opportunity to join our exceptional Bright Futures Team at our brand-new specialist school in Salford.

Building on the success of our two highly regarded specialist schools in St Helens and Lymm, we are expanding our high-quality educational offer across the North West.

Our mission is to provide a pupil-centred, personalised education for pupils aged 5-19 with Autism, learning disabilities, and other complex needs. We provide a calm, nurturing and safe environment where every child feels valued, supported and a true sense of belonging.

Our educational vision is to “awaken the potential” of every child and young person.

The Role

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference and improving outcomes for all pupils.

As a (Senior) Learning Mentor, you will:

  • Play a key role in creating a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Provide tailored, individualised support to pupils
  • Encourage the development of essential life and learning skills
  • Support pupils to reach their full potential.

Working under the direction of the Class Teacher, you will undertake all general day-to-day activities with pupils in the classroom, ensuring every pupil's individual needs are met.

About You

We are looking for people who:

  • Demonstrate a calm, confident and professional approach
  • Can build effective and enduring relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
  • Thrive in environments that can be challenging yet highly rewarding
  • Are able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Show initiative and a genuine desire to support specialist educational provision

You will play an integral role in supporting both pupils and the wider school community, undertaking a range of learning support and general duties.

A comprehensive induction and training programme will be provided to support your success in the role.

You must demonstrate that you meet all of the essential experience, knowledge and personal qualities criteria on the person specification, using practical examples.

Why Join Us?

By joining Bright Futures, you will:

  • Work within a supportive, collaborative environment where professional development and staff wellbeing are genuinely prioritised.

  • Receive a competitive salary with opportunities for career progression as the school grows.

Please note: this role is term-time only and the salary is as stated (i.e. not pro rata). Annual leave must be taken during school closure periods.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils. All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.

If you are passionate about making a lasting impact and want to be part of something truly meaningful from the very beginning, we would love to hear from you.

Closing date: {Expiry Date} (we reserve the right to close the vacancy early should we receive sufficient applications)

Interview date: Interviews will take place on a rolling basis.
