Salary:
Unqualified Lecturer: £29,294 per year
Qualified Lecturer: £31,885 – £40,814 per year
(Depending on Skills, Qualifications & Experience)

Why Join Our Science Team?
Based at our Lackham Campus, you'll join a dedicated and collaborative Science team, delivering engaging lessons in well-equipped laboratories that support practical, investigative learning. You'll help learners develop the scientific knowledge, laboratory competence, and critical thinking skills needed to progress into higher education or careers in forensic science, policing, criminal justice, biomedical sciences, and other STEM industries.
Working within our successful Science provision, you'll contribute to an engaging curriculum that combines theory with practical investigation, encouraging learners to apply scientific principles to real-world forensic scenarios.
What You'll Do
Teach and assess learners across our Forensic Science programmes, delivering engaging lessons in both theoretical and practical aspects of forensic science
Deliver high-quality learning in areas such as crime scene investigation, forensic biology, forensic chemistry, laboratory techniques, evidence analysis, and scientific investigation
Develop creative schemes of learning, lesson plans, and assessment strategies that motivate learners and support outstanding achievement
Prepare and supervise practical laboratory sessions, ensuring safe working practices and compliance with health and safety procedures
Support learners to develop the scientific, analytical, and investigative skills required for higher education and careers within forensic science and related STEM fields
Monitor learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and help learners achieve their full potential
Contribute to curriculum development and maintain high standards of teaching, learning, safeguarding, and student experience
Participate in enrichment activities, employer engagement, open events, and wider curriculum initiatives that enhance the learner experience
What You'll Bring
A degree or higher qualification in Forensic Science, Biomedical Science, Applied Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a closely related scientific discipline
Strong subject knowledge across forensic science and practical laboratory techniques
Experience working within forensic science, laboratory science, scientific research, criminal investigation, or a related STEM environment
A passion for inspiring learners and making science engaging, relevant, and accessible
Excellent communication, organisation, and collaborative working skills
A commitment to maintaining high standards of laboratory safety and professional practice
A Level 4 teaching qualification or above is welcomed
