Hospitality & Catering Lecturer (Part-Time)
Location: St Austell
Salary: £27,330.94 – £28,402.92 per annum (CC34–CC36), pro rata for part-time role (actual pro-rata salary range: £11,080.11 - £11,514.70)

About the Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Lecturer in Hospitality & Catering to join our growing team at our St Austell Campus. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing and delivering an engaging curriculum that reflects current industry practice while inspiring learners to achieve their full potential.
As we continue to expand our Hospitality and Catering provision, you'll help shape programmes, strengthen relationships with employers, create meaningful industry experiences for learners, and contribute to establishing the College as a leading provider of Hospitality education across the region.
About the role
As a Lecturer, you'll create inspiring learning experiences that enable every learner to succeed. You'll deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment that is engaging, inclusive and responsive to individual learner needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering outstanding teaching in line with the College's Teaching and Learning Strategy.
- Planning engaging, inclusive lessons that challenge and inspire learners.
- Assessing learner progress and providing timely feedback to support achievement.
- Developing high-quality learning resources, including digital and online materials.
- Supporting learners to achieve positive outcomes and progress into employment or further study.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners to enhance the learner experience.
- Contributing to the continued growth and success of our Hospitality and Catering provision.
Skills and Experience
We're looking for someone with current industry knowledge, enthusiasm for education and a genuine desire to help learners succeed.
We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for Hospitality and Catering, together with the knowledge, skills and enthusiasm to inspire learners to achieve their full potential. You'll hold a Level 3 (or above) qualification in Hospitality, Catering or a related subject and have relevant commercial, vocational or academic experience within the industry. You'll also hold a recognised teaching qualification, such as AET, DET, PGCE or a Certificate in Education, or be willing to achieve one within three years of appointment. Applicants should also have Level 2 English and Maths (or be willing to achieve these within two years of joining the College).
Previous teaching or training experience is essential, as well as an IQA qualification, higher-level vocational or academic qualifications such as an HNC, HND, NVQ Level 4 or degree, or are recognised as a subject specialist within the Hospitality and Catering sector. Above all, we're looking for someone who is committed to delivering outstanding learning experiences and helping our learners succeed.
