Job Summary

The children’s medical wards L40 Lcat and L30 have vacancies for Band 3 clinical support workers.

Are you an experienced Clinical Support Worker delivering high standards of compassionate care who wants to advance your career and help support a team of clinical support workers and apprentice clinical support workers within the medical wards at Leeds Children’s Hospital. If so, these roles may be for you.

We are looking for AFC Band 3 staff to provide direct and indirect compassionate care to children and young people as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.

What you will bring to the role

The successful candidates should be able to use their own initiative to achieve the planned care outcomes.

The candidate should have excellent communication skills in written, verbal and electronic format (this may include accessing and updating patient records on central databases or electronic systems).

Be able to escalate concerns with regards to patient’s physical or psychological needs, or changes in their clinical condition to a registered practitioner within appropriate time frames.
