The working hours for this post are 20.75 hours per week.

Working Pattern
Monday: 3.00pm–8.30pm
Tuesday: 3.00pm–8.30pm
Wednesday: Off
Thursday: Off
Friday: 2.00pm–7.30pm
Saturday: Off
Sunday: 9.00am–1.15pm

About the Role

At Gedling Leisure, we pride ourselves on delivering enjoyable, supportive and results-focused exercise experiences for our members. We are looking for a hardworking, passionate and motivated Fitness Advisor to join the team at Carlton Forum Leisure Centre and help inspire the local community to enjoy a more active lifestyle.

You will be part of a dedicated fitness team that embraces change, innovation and continuous improvement. You will support members of all ages and abilities, helping them get the most from their workouts, building positive relationships and adding real value to their membership experience.

Fitness Advisors will also support the delivery of Gedling health services, including specialist health classes designed to help members improve their wellbeing in a safe and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise and instruct members on the safe and effective use of gym equipment.
  • Carry out personal fitness assessments and support members with tailored fitness goals.
  • Prepare and deliver fitness training programmes and gym inductions.
  • Provide site tours for prospective new members.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming gym environment.
  • Support the delivery of group exercise classes where applicable.
  • Assist with the day-to-day operation of other areas of the leisure centre when required.

About You

We are looking for someone with excellent customer rapport, strong communication skills and experience supporting members of different ages, abilities and fitness levels. You should be enthusiastic, reliable and confident working as part of a team within a busy leisure centre environment.

Applicants must hold a recognised minimum level 2 gym-based qualification and be willing to work as part of the above rota.
