Our Delivery Technicians play a vital role in this mission — bringing comfort, dignity, and reassurance directly into our customers’ homes.

We are looking for a caring, reliable, and practical individual to join our delivery and installation team.

Salary & Benefits

  • Starting salary:£32,500 increasing to £33,800 after successful completion of 3-month probationary period

The Role

As a Delivery Technician, you will safely deliver and professionally install our bespoke chairs and adjustable beds and carry out repairs in customers’ homes. You’ll be the face of Comfort Plus, ensuring every delivery is completed with care, respect, and attention to detail.

This is a hands-on, two-person role involving lifting, installation, servicing, repairs and customer interaction — ideal for someone who takes pride in practical work and helping people.

What You’ll Do

  • Safely load, transport, and deliver specialist furniture to customers’ homes
  • Ensure correct picking of products for customers' orders
  • Position and install products without damage to property or flooring
  • Assemble adjustable beds and connect powered recliners
  • Demonstrate product use clearly and patiently to customers and families
  • Remove packaging and old furniture where agreed
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and maintain equipment
  • Report delivery issues or customer concerns promptly
  • Complete maintenance visits and issue detailed reports
  • Drive all over the country to deliver and service our customers products (one overnight stay per week required as part of this)
  • Weekly load skip at the head office warehouse
  • Ensure vehicle cleanliness is maintained

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Full UK driving licence (Category B) with clean record
  • Experience driving transit-size vans (3.5 tonnes)
  • Ability to safely handle heavy items (60–100kg) as part of a two-person team
  • Practical assembly or installation experience
  • Excellent communication skills and a calm, respectful manner
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Hard working, flexible and with a team player attitude

Ideal:

  • Furniture delivery or installation experience
  • Experience working in customers’ homes
  • Manual handling training
  • Customer-facing experience

Personal Qualities

This role involves entering the homes of elderly and vulnerable customers. We’re looking for someone who demonstrates:
