About us
AUTOMATED DOCUMENT SERVICES LTD is a specialist in cultural heritage digitisation with head office in Livingston and on site operations UK wide. The Company has been trading for more than 14 years and worked with major archives, libraries, international corporates and local businesses in delivering first class digitisation services.
The business has a vast range of specialist camera & scanning equipment and handles all types of content from bound volumes, loose documents, large format maps, drawings & paintings, unbound documents and files, microfiche , slides, aperture cards.
About the Candidate
We are looking for individuals to assist with imaging of historical documents using our camera equipment & systems. Training on use of the equipment will be provided
Working hours flexible. Office open 09:00am - 5pm Mon - Friday.
This position is based 100% in our facility in Livingston.
Applicants should be local or have own transport.
The successful candidates should be interested in history, photography, technology and have a good eye for detail. They will possess a good level of IT skills ( excel, windows, be able to name & move files accurately).
The successful applicants must be able to work in a flexible environment, with minimal supervision.
Full training provided.
About the Role
The role will involve imaging of various types of historical content including bound volumes, photographs, loose sheets, large format maps, drawings.
The position(s) are currently full time, with immediate start for minimum of 6 months fixed contract with potential for permanent position after 6 months.
