Full job description

Every day, people across Wigan face challenges that can feel overwhelming. Poor mental health, social isolation, low confidence, unemployment, and complex personal circumstances can prevent individuals from reaching their full potential.

As a Development Coach, you'll be at the heart of the solution.

This is more than a job. It's an opportunity to inspire change, build confidence, improve wellbeing, and help people take meaningful steps towards brighter futures. Working across our wellbeing and community support programmes, you'll support adults to overcome barriers, discover their strengths, and move towards volunteering, education, training, and employment.

Why This Role Matters
You'll work with people who need someone to believe in them. Someone who can listen without judgement. Someone who can help them recognise their potential and take the next step forward.

Through group facilitation, one-to-one coaching, community engagement, and partnership working, you'll help individuals develop resilience, improve their wellbeing, build social connections and achieve sustainable outcomes that can transform their lives.

We're Looking For...
An enthusiastic, compassionate and organised professional who is passionate about supporting people to achieve positive change.

You'll be confident leading groups, building trusted relationships, and motivating individuals facing complex barriers. Whether your background is in employability, wellbeing, community development, youth and community work, mental health support or coaching, if you're driven by helping people succeed, we'd love to hear from you.
